The Live Pod incorporates a sustainable building system and renewable materials such as a rain screen façade, bamboo flooring, photovoltaic panels and a green roof that collects rainwater for irrigation. The components of the house can be made according to the specifications of the user and shipped on site for assembly.
The green roof can be used to grow shallow-rooted vegetables and can also be used to prevent storm water runoff and reduce heat island effect to regulate the interior temperature.
